In the custom world, there's nothing better then standing back in front of a laid out sport truck or tricked out street rod and saying to yourself "I built that... I constructed that piece of metal on four wheels with my own two hands!" Now that you have a custom ride you ask yourself: "Do I drive this everyday to work or do I put it on a trailer to be towed to every custom auto show?" That is the most important question you have to ask yourself (though in actuality you should have done this prior to the build)! Do I drop my ride to the asphalt, burn rubber, and leave sparks for the spectators at the shows, or do I wanna do the same going to work everyday? Once you answer that big question, then fire up the beast and roll in style to work, to the grocery store, or that custom auto show.
Compared to some of the show pieces we have featured here on ESM, as well as other car/truck magazines, those amazing trophy winner rides don't even have a scratch, a paint smudge, no dings, and no finger prints on them at all! It's kind of like the rides are encased in glass that says "Break Glass Only In Case of Custom Auto Show!" The way I see it, if you build your own ride or even if you buy it from someone else, there's nothing better then showing up to your job and having your fellow co-workers drooling over your ride!
For those all important cruises, that is the best time to show what your ride can do! Just imagine hittin' switches and tuckin' twenty inches and leaving your signature mark on the street for fellow enthusiasts to admire... yeah now we are
talkin'! Better yet, you get a chance to prove your ride is more than all show... it does have some go! Most of all, you get to show the crowd what you can do with some "Benjamins" when you start busting a few knuckles!
Yep, you finally modified your boring stock ride into a kick ass custom ride, but you still need to make a decision. Do you want to drive it to work everyday and make your fellow employees hand you their keys and say, "Please make my ride look as hot as yours!"... or would you rather win trophies and make custom auto enthusiasts wonder if your ride has ever seen an interstate "on ramp?" Hmmmm... decisions, decisions, decisions...
