Elite Streets Magazine Presents - Fast Eddy's Hot Rod Art!

Ed White (a.k.a. Fast Eddy), is a regular feature here at Elite Streets Magazine and he always seems to impress us with his radical renderings. Ed always uses an array of crazy options, wild wheels, and colorful paint concepts that wow even the biggest names in the industry. The 4-1-1 on the "Ed-ster" is that he has been drawing for as long as he can remember. Ed once told ESM that he can't remember a time when he wasn't doodling some sort of picture on a former tree. Needless to say, all of that doodling over the years paid off and now Fast Eddy is one of the most well known auto artists around. Ed really knows his stuff especially when it comes to objects that are engine powered!

As always, we were impressed with Ed's latest artistic renderings and we encourage our readers to contact Ed and give him the thumbs up, otherwise Ed might forget to submit some of his work to ESM! Also, if you are in the middle of a project or just starting one, Ed can help you make your dreams a reality by laying it out on paper long before you start bangin' away at body panels and turning those wrenches. All you have to do is dial: 281.455.2883. Ed is Texas friendly and just like the state in which he resides, has big ideas. Also, keep in mind that Ed can paint the real deal, too! If you want a wicked paint job on your ride, Ed can get the party started for you, provided you have enough greenbacks to cover his time spent. To catch a glimpse of more examples of Ed's work, go to www.fehrarules.com. Oh yeah, be sure to tell Ed that ESM sent ya!

Click here to enlarge! The Dodge SSR/T, created in the spirit of the Chevy SSR, is styled after the 1939 Dodge pick up. It has the big chrome cross in the grille and a hard top lift-off roof (the windshield frame stays, but the roof, complete with the A-pillar legs, comes off). The bed has a cover that operates like a trunk lid and is also removeable because this is a truck. Wheels consist of 20-inch wheels up front and 24-inch wheels out back. This truck is powered by a HEMI, but standard V-8s could be a starting point for Dodge. Eddy also named the paint job: "Reverse flame with a touch of reality". What a trick truck!

The way these things are designed, the front and rear ends come off to designate different models, which is where Ed made a few changes. The rear end has a more 1969 looking taillight treatment and larger exhaust. The spoiler is a little more business-like. The gills on the quarters are functional brake cooling ducts. The nose and hood are an ensamble. The scoop is a combination of he L-88 Vette scoop from 1967 and the front of the 1979 Camaro scoop. The nose piece is sixty-nine-ish with the driving lights moved inward.
Click here to enlarge! Remember the Yenko Nickey and COPO Camaros? This is the FEHRA Camaro. This car has the same hood and grille as the Z28 on a sportier nose cap that includes larger driving lights and a charcoal colored chin spoiler. Big brakes, chromeless rear brake cooling vents, 20-inch wheels, roll bar, diffuser... this car rocks! The spoiler is a tad larger than the Z28's and the rear cap with flush-mount taillights is specific to this car. This car wold only be available as a convertible, six-speed, with a 502, and a full gauge pack. The pipes are 5-inches in diameter for a complete visual package that will make even its brother Z28 wet its pants! Oh Yeah!
Click here to enlarge! This is a design that Ed has had runnin' around his brain for a while. It is an all new Barracuda. Think about re-skinning a Viper and using a HEMI instead. The hardtop is the T/A version with sidepipes and a 22/24-inch wheel package. The vents on the fender are functional heat extractors. The design of the body forces some concessions. One being that the quarter windows don't roll down... they go back into the sail panels. The other is that the fuel hatch is located on the deck under a chrome cover. This is because the deck is part of a hatchback design that includes the rear window and spoiler.
Click here to enlarge! Ahhh... another Barracuda! This is the convertible brother of the one shown above. The quarter windows are plastic like what Jeeps have and are part of the top assembly. The convertible is further separated with clear taillights and different wheels. This view shows the hidden controls doors on the console and two tone interior. The stares you would catch rolling to the beach in this baby!
Last, but certainly ot least is the ho rod at the top of this page named the "Tiki Torcher". This one is a truck, more like the 1929 A than the SSR/T, that is totally new. The grille is 1937 Chevy-esque and everything on the front end is raked back. Grille, headlights, suspension geometry, even the side opening is raked back. The design is that of an old school surfboard atop a creamsicle truck body. The fenders are inspired by hot rod motorcycles. The interior is leather and the center stripe flows uninterrupted from nose to tail. It has an all Chevy driveline with the exhaust exiting right aft of the cab. The front turn signals are located in the upper A-arms. A hot rod in the truest fashion!
