Copyright © Fast Eddy's Hot Rod Art 2007

Ed White (a.k.a. Fast Eddy), is a regular feature here at Elite Streets Magazine and seems to impress us with his radical renderings. Ed always uses an array of crazy options, wild wheels, and colorful paint concepts that wow even the biggest names in the industry. The 4-1-1 on Fast Eddy is that he has been showin' the world what's on your mind by applying it to paper since the days of the pharaohs! Obviously his talent has paid off for Ed is now one of the most sought after automotive artists in the industry.

When you're building, you need to know where you're headed, so we encourage our readers to contact him if you need to see the finished product while it's still in your imagination. All you have to do is dial: 281.455.2883. Ed is Texas friendly and just like the state in which he resides, has big ideas. Also, keep in mind that Ed can paint the real deal, too! If you want a wicked paint job on your ride, Ed can get it done for you. To catch a glimpse of more examples of Ed's work, go to www.fehrarules.com. Oh yeah, be sure to tell him that ESM sent ya!

1957 Camballero

This one Ed calls a 1957 Camballero, which is a Cameo and Caballero concoction. Ed thought of doing a 1950s truck styled after a car from the same era. The original idea was a 1957 Chevy, but Ed wanted to do something different. The idea here is to take a 1955-59 GM cab and utilize repop Caballero skin to make a Cameo style truck. Of course, Ed customized the front clip a little with a roll pan and floating bar bumper(if you wanna call it that), moved the portholes up to hood level (better balance), smoothed the rear end in the shape of the Buick's bumper and put in LED lights. Then Ed designed some simple, yet tough looking 5-spokes for it to ride on. Sweet!

1958 Edsel-100

Ed calls this killer hauler a 1958 Edsel-100. Ed combined some wagon body styling with top of the line Edsel trim, billet grilles, and another set of his one-off wheel designs. The center grille is open. The cab is Ford from the belt line down, but the top is all Edsel. Ed raised the center of the hood to match the cab and the rest came together naturally. The color in the coves is candy, metal flake electric blue with dark blue pearl. Very cool!

1961 D Fury 100

Ed challenged himself do one of the ugliest... wait, make that "most interestingly" designed cars from the Dodge line. Ed calls this a 1961 D Fury 100. This is something you hardly ever see anywhere. This thing just looks tough. This one was styled a lot like the Edsel, using as much of the original car as possible. For this Ed had to raise the whole hood to meet the cab. Ed used some truck cues in the roof and upper belt line, changed up the side trim a bit and added another set of his FEHRA wheels to complete the exterior. This ugly duckling from Dodge is now a swan from FEHRA!

Chevy Suburban

This goes in the "inspiration comes from strange places" file. Ed has a stapler in his office that he flamed. For some reason, when Ed looks at it, all he sees is a late model Chevy Suburban. Since Ed likes the 2007 Suburban he decided to carve one out on paper for all of us to admire. Yes, those are FEHRA wheels, too. These big SUVs look killer especially when they are shaved and slammed. After that, smoke the taillights, add a bumper cover, add a stainless mesh grille, and a bitchin' flame job then... viola!-- we present to you the 2007 Chevy Suburban GM should have built!

1987 Chevy Blazer

This is a 1987 Chevy Blazer with everything carved off from the belt line up. It has the carbon fibre Altezza taillights, the tailgate is welded shut, the tonneau acts like a trunklid, and has the gas filler right in the center. The interior is ostrich with molded dash, console, and rear seat split. The bumpers have been replaced by pans and the grille is similar to the Suburban grille, but molded and hand made. The windshield is three pieces, two doors and a center glass. If you look close, you can see the thin white line on the glass nearest the steering wheel, that's the break line between the center and door glass pieces.
